Events in DVCP
Santa’s Grotto
One of the highlights of our events calendar is Santa’s annual visit. He and his elves are resident in their cottage and workshop from the end of November until just before Christmas when he has to return to the North Pole to check on his Reindeer and complete his lists before Christmas Eve.
Stickmakers
The South Wales Stickmakers have for some years made Dare Valley the base for their quarterly meetings. In addition each September they hold a show displaying their handiwork, workshops and demonstrations and displays of many different woodcrafts. They are always willing to speak to anyone who shows an interest and are keen to encourage new members.

Courtyard concerts & Plays
The courtyard sometimes takes on the form of a stage and has been known to resound to the words of Shakespeare on occasion.

Jugglers, clowns, storytellers and others are regular visitors throughout the summer holidays.
Summer Sundays also bring courtyard concerts with a range of different music styles including Jazz, Folk, Four piece harmony singers, Light Rock…to (hopefully) suit all tastes.

Children’s activity days and events
A series of activity days are run each year for children and we will shortly be opening a new orienteering course designed especially for young people and family groups.
Global Village
For the last two years we have had a very successful event to promote Global awareness. Run jointly with UNAexchange volunteer programme who gather all their volunteers to Wales together to give a taste of different cultures.
