Explore the great outdoors

Waymarked trails and orienteering courses take you alongside streams and lakes or climbing to panoramic views. Woodlands have regenerated and wildlife abounds. Wild flowers colour the hillsides in the spring and summer. Crowning the glacial ‘cwm’ at the Western edge of the park, the weather swirld in from the Atlantic and jet treails follow the curve of the world to disappear behind its summit. The River Dare tumbles and meanders from the mountins in the Northwest of Cynon Valley through a valley of oak, birch and alder.
